B.S.B SUNOCO BRITISH CHAPIONSHIP 125GP
JASON DOUGLAS RACE REPORT FROM OULTON PARK
I ARRIVED AT OULTON PARK ON THURSDAY THE WEATHER WAS WARM WE GOT SET UP FOR FRIDAY PRACTICE .
Free practice went ok got bike set up bike for qualifying on the Saturday it was wet for qualifying 1 and that suited me as my bike is short on top end power compared to others
And I put in a time of 2:05.765 which put me in 6th on the grid so I was happy but still had qualifying 2 to go. When we were ready to go the weather was dry and warm not so good for me but got my head down was in the top 10 for a while but near the end got knocked back to 17th 1:51.640 which was not bad for a standard bike.
Race day and the weather was wet but I was back on the 5th row with ryan .rayon and hughes it is along run in to turn 1and the spray of the track was bad but made my way up in to 8th but as I was coming round and had a big moment as the bike tried to throw me of but I held on but had lost the front group. Time to sort my self out and get my head down and I started to catch the front group which was hard work in the rain and the standing water but I could see guiver was getting closer I caught him up and then we caught up with ryan but there bikes pulled on the straight but I was getting good drive out on to island which put me close to them going in to shell so on the last lap I had a go pull along side guiver and ryan I was on the inside but guiver was pulling the same move on ryan so backed of in case I took us all out but that cost me as I lost my drive and they pulled out a gap as I tried to close the gap again I had some big slides as the track was getting bad with standing water so I decided to finish the race rather than end in the kitty litter I was 4th in the overall and 3rd in the cup I all so managed to put in the second fastest lap of the race with a 2:06.528 so on the podium now all I need is help to keep going and get some parts for my bike to get some more top end or it to rain for all the rest of the season.

Snetterton 300 race report
Well of we went to the new Snetterton 300 it was the first time I have seen the track so I set about learning the track in the first free practice we had a clutch problem so I only got 4 laps we tried to fix it and went out in 2nd free practice I did 5 laps clutch was better but still not good so I came in that was the end of free practice not so good next was qualifying 1.
I went out the clutch was better so I set about to put in a time for grid slot it was going ok but my fears were soon realised when I hit the back straight as the bikes came passed but I made up time under braking and in the bome hole and corans I was loosing time up the straight my bike to power valve bikes and others with better kit than mine my bike gets there by the end in to the corner make up time under braking put bike in 23rd position time 2.09.002
Qualifying2
So last chance went out on track bike felt good still on same tyres as they cost money my budget is tight but my lap timer gave me good news I had improved but so was every one else but I was moving up lap by lap as my pit board was telling me I was moving up my times were coming down then the 2 min board came out I was in a group and a we were all going for it I hit my knee on the kerb at the end I had moved up to 18th with a 2.06.711 their was 9 of us in the 2min 06 time put me on row 4.
Race day
Of we go got a good start made up several places and got away with the group I was up in the top 10 as the race went on I was still with the group and enjoying it but once again bike got back passed on the straight so the work had to done in the corners and on the brakes but once I lost the tow of the faster bikes so it be comes hard down the straight to keep with them and you loose speed. In to the last few laps I was still in the top 15 but by this time my knee was giving me problems and two other bikes got passed so I fell back to 16th was hoping to stay in the top 15 which would have been great for me as this power circuit and my bike is not the fastest I need to loose a bit of weight or get more power parts as my bike is standard Honda. will go to the doctors about my knee and look forward to oulton park. #21

B.S.B KNOCKHILL
We were at knockhill for B.S.B for the Sunoco British 125 gp championship& academy cup. On Friday we had free practice and it was wet with two sessions to try and get the big set up for qualifying and race I was quite happy after missing thruxton.
Qualifying 1 was wet on Saturday the bike felt good I only came in once to remove tape and went back out got five laps in and put my fastest lap on the last lap to take 9th in a group 6 other riders in the 1.01 lap times so I was happy. Qualifying 2 was much the same did a faster lap but with a drying track so did the others and I ended up 10th over all on the grid but with the problems I have had I was very happy I was loosing out up the hill at the hairpin as my bike does not have the power of other bikes .
Race day and would you no it the dry race not what I was hopping for as we had no dry testing so gearing and jetting was a bit of guess work and that ment I would struggle due to not having the same kit as most of the grid I was 10th on the grid got a good start and went up to about 6th but when we came out on to the back straight bikes were going passed but made it up on the brakes in to the hairpin but once again I would loose out up the hill the race was red flagged due to crash. So we went to a restart and as I was in 14th I moved back on the grid I don’t like restarts and could not keep the front wheel down so not good start but got my head down sammi tasker and a couple of other riders got in front of me out the hairpin but my bike could not keep up the hill made it up over the hill down to the front corner but could not pass so on the last lap got in to and out of the hairpin in front and was glad the finish line was closer than the start line and held on to take 12th in the race so happy just wish I had more top end as I was second slowest threw the speed traps but my sector times were good for what I have so in the end happy. Hi my name is Jason Douglas #21
This is my race report from croft B.S.B gp125 class we will start with free practice and qualifying this did not go well I have never been to croft circuit so I was learning the track in free practice trying to find my lines. I did come of at the harping trying to get drive on to start finish straight the bike was not revving up and in we all so had a seizure. So that was us no set up for track so for warm up we took out the curve bender and tried untested jetting it was better but still down in the speed traps but up in the sector times got up to 9th overall but was still 30th on the grid a long way back.
In the race It was dry but windy so we went with settings from warm up but with slicks I was a long way back on the grid but I was here on the grid once again I got a good start and made my way up threw the grid and by lap 2 I was up into 22nd it was hard work on the straight have to do my over taking in and out of the corners and getting passed on the straight but I got my head down on lap 3 I was in 21st and on to lap 4 made up an other place up to 20th but by this time the gap to the next group were well down the track so no slip stream I managed to keep the group behind but I was struggling with power with my size and the wind my bike was flat on the straight so with out slip stream the lack of power the other riders were catching me I held on until last lap and I went down to 21st and finished 13th in the cup. Will not be at thruxton as I was down in the speed traps by as much 10 to 12 mph at croft.

Race report from oulton park
My name is Jason Douglas we went to oulton park for the second round of b,s,b gp 125 where I race my standard Honda 125 I new before I came in to championship I new my bike would be down on power and my size would not help but I wanted to race my gp bike. My dad told me due to money we could not up grade the bike but I am here oulton was windy but sunny on to free practice things did not go to well I had trouble with the bike set up could not get jetting right we have never run the fuel before b.s.b so we have no data for race fuel so not so good we got up to 17th on the timing sheets but bike well down on the speed traps having to work hard in the corners .
On to free practice 2 I had an off at so that was the end of that front brake bar and rear sets + fairings were all damaged so we had to sort for qualifying 1 which we done but the bike was not right it felt like it was on marbles and the brake was not good so I call it a day. We worked on the bike and noticed the front forks were not rebounding so we took them out to get then sorted we got the bike all back for quali 2 went out did two laps bike was much better and felt good so on my 3rd lap I was going well just put my fastest first sector in then going in to brittens one of the other bikes hit my rear wheel and sent me down I did not no much about it my bike was in a bit of a mess so that was the end off my qualifying so 28th on the grid. But did not no if bike would be ok but thanks to team m8 and banks racing and a long night it was back together for the race.
In the race I was at the back long way but just got my head down and was so happy to be racing made up places but got passed on the faster parts but I was in a group and managed to keep on and was in 16th when on the last lap I felt the bike nip but managed to keep it going to the line but fell back to 19th in the overall and 13th in the cup I was just happy to race and finish after the weekend I had not so sure about the next two croft and thruxton both fast circuits will not suit standard bike and my size but we will se it may rain.
